What is screen saver

Screen saver is a program which starts in some time period, if computer is running but is not currently in use. It displays some image on your screen depending on current default screen saver.

Screen savers were originally designed for quality saving purposes of CRT (cathode ray tubes) computer monitors by blanking the screen when computer is not in use. Nowadays, screen savers are used like an entertainment mostly.

Configuring screen saver

If you have Microsoft Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8 right-click your desktop and choose Personalize. Then click Screen Saver icon. Select Clock Screen Saver in the combo-box. You can set up time when to start the screen saver.
After clicking the Settings button a Clock Screen Saver program window appears and you will be able to configure current screen saver as you wish. Preview button will display screen saver immediately.
If you want to adjust power saving options, click the Change power settings link.

If you have Microsoft Windows XP or any previous Windows operation systems right click your desktop and choose Properties. Then choose Screen Saver tab. Select Clock Screen Saver in the combo-box. You can set up time when to start the screen saver. You are able to protect screen saver with a password by checking Password protect checkbox.
After clicking the Settings button a Clock Screen Saver program window appears and you will be able to configure current screen saver as you wish. Preview button will display screen saver immediately.
If you want to adjust power saving options, click the Power button.
